The
East Central Tech Foundation is a non-profit foundation organized under
Georgia law and is fiscally and organizationally separate from the school.
Its purpose is to receive private gifts, bequests, and donations and to
account for, manage, and help appreciate monies or property submitted to
the Foundation. Such donations are totally tax deductible.
The Foundation Board of Directors is composed of selected persons who
represent positive leadership and community influence. They have expressed
an interest in the school and a desire to use their influence on behalf of
the school, through the Foundation, to develop statewide support for the
school.
The Foundation is prepared to promote school objectives and to support
programs and activities of the school, which include, but are not limited
to, the following:
- Financial aid for students
- Recognition of outstanding teaching
- Support of a school library
- Procurement of special equipment
- Recognition of outstanding scholarship or leadership
Funds for the Foundation are distributed for the benefit and
advancement of the school and for the encouragement and subsidization of
students and faculty of East Central Tech.
Gifts
to the Foundation, which may be made in any one of several ways, can
usually be arranged to achieve maximum tax benefits for the donor, and, at
the same time, provide generous support for education. Contributions may
be made by gifts of cash, real or personal property, securities, or
insurance policies; by a provision of a will; or by the establishment of
trusts. Gifts may be granted for specific purposes or given without
restriction for their use.
